The best advice I've been given and taken.......

1. Go Natural if you can, child birth is a very painful but a beautiful process, you recover better when you don't use the epidural. I had my first two natural and with my third child used an epidural....which I was a little grateful for during the contractions but afterwards felt so much more pain, and needed more medicine too. With my fourth child I went natural and felt good and recovered well.
2. Breastfeed if you are able to...I have been fortunate to be a stay-at-home mommy. I have breastfed all of my kids and I am currently nursing my youngest child who is 8 mos. He is healthy and growing fast. I will admit it is hard when you first begin nursing a baby but it is well worth it for the great benefits to their health!

3. Give yourself time to relax, take a break from the kids once in a while..it will help you feel less stressed and ready handle whatever comes your way.

4. Always read find moments to teach your kids, whether it's shopping at the store or when you are at home. They are like sponges, unfortunately they learn bad habits we have too...so be careful what you teach them....

5. Prayer is key to motherhood, or meditation. It helps to open your mind and heart and remind you of your responsibilities and goals as a mom.

6. Teach your kids to be thankful and to use their manners.

7. Teach you children to love themselves, to love God, to have high morals and values, and to love and serve others.

8. Set a bedtime schedule, my kids bedtime is 8 pm, so they are in bed by 7:40 and sleeping by 8 pm. It will give you and your husband time for each other.

9. Cherish the special moments! Laugh and smile as much as possible! They grow so fast!!

10. Be humble, patient and grateful! Your children will follow your great example!
