Our oldest baby graduated today

Our daughter's class dancing. (She is the 7th kid from the left)

Our 6-year-old daughter had her kindergarten graduation today. She was so excited she woke up before me at 5:30 am and asked me if she could get dressed. She chose one of her new outfits from her grandparents on my husband’s side and her new slippers. I curled her hair and made her breakfast, she wore two candy leis to give to her teachers, then we sent her off on the bus. We got to her graduation ceremony and found some seats in the back, which were perfect because our younger kids were a bit antsy. (As you can see in this photo below.)Each class had their own musical numbers and they were all cute but a bit boring. Then it came to our daughter’s class' performance and the song was the Disney Mambo #5. They girls had on Pineapple hats and the boys had on armbands with shakers. They sure had some moves and really livened up the ceremony. We were surprised that our daughter, who is usually very shy on stage, went all out and did her best. You'd never know that she is a bit shy; because she was so into the dance she sort of stood in front of the boy next to her! It was a little funny, but my Husband and I felt so proud, and so thrilled to see her dancing away. Afterwards they did the usual walk to present the certificates and when it was her turn we walked up to her and gave her candy leis and took her picture.

She wasn't expecting us to do that, but she loved it! We took her home early and as she requested had some cheeseburgers, fries, and went swimming in the pool. We look forward to more graduations in our children's futures, this is just the beginning of their educational successes and we couldn't be more proud!
