Trusting in His Power

37 wks. 3 days

It's been a nearly a week since my last update. This past weekend was General Conference and I loved it so much. We stayed home and watched it on TV. The kids watched it a bit and I had them draw pictures of things they heard in the talks, but then the drawings started turning into Princesses and wedding day dresses, cars and flowers after about 15 minutes.

I went out on Saturday morning and bought some Pecan pie, chocolate silk pie for dessert for that evening and donuts for our breakfast. Saturday evening my sweet husband made us some homemade French dipped subs with roast beef and Swiss cheese, they were delicious we had enough left over for Sunday too so it was nice to have an easy meal ready for the family, so thank you honey! Tuesday I have another appointment for me and baby and at my last one the doctor told me we could possibly have the baby sometime this week, she will be checking on our baby's growth tomorrow. Our baby girl seems to be doing just fine she moves often and her heart rate was great at my last appointment.

After receiving a blessing from my hubs and receiving his constant care, love and reassurance that everything is going to be okay, as well as the sweet prayers from the kids and family and friends and even the support of many of you, I can't help but feel even more loved and blessed than ever before and I can honestly say that I am truly thankful for all the love and blessings I have been given and I have faith that everything will be fine.

General conference was wonderful and I really loved it and needed it, I especially loved the talk about trusting in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I am sure that I needed to be reminded of this and I am feel so much gratitude for the Gospel in my life and for the wonderful husband and kids I have been blessed with. I know that my husband and I will do our best to cherish the days we have our kids in our home because like all parents say, "They grow so fast!"

I've learned that sometimes as parents we are faced with certain challenges so that when our children are grown, we can truly be there for them when they have their own challenges, armed with faith in our Heavenly Father, a sympathetic heart and wisdom to help them overcome any adversity. I hope that through our examples our kids will also learn to trust in the Lords power too.

  1. The photo speaks volumes. Look at those beautiful knowing eyes. It makes you wonder what he is remembering.

Aren't we so blessed to have the opportunity to be mothers? I don't know you in person but judging from your posts you seem to be so spiritual and a great example to your kids. Someday they will rise and call you blessed.

Keep us updated on the baby's arrival.

I had a small packet I dowloaded of pages to color and related little kids things to keep little ones involved.
No little one, but a very short attention span on the girl teen.
    She used it.
Meant to post about it, but it's been crazy busy.
