Heroes
I have always loved a good hero story. I love the bravery that the hero has in overcoming the obstacles that he/she faces, so that they can accomplish the very thing they set out to do. Most often the true heroes are they who set out to do good, without the thought of gaining fame, or recognition. I can definitely say that I have many heroes in my life. The things they do to be heroic, don't necessarily get recognized as acts of bravery. I truly admire their strength and ability to help others. They do what they can to help in any way possible. Sometimes, without being asked to do things. They have been the most influential people in my life. They set the bar high for me. They also help me to see the good in everything. They have a quiet strength that is often overlooked by others.
The only problem is that they don't KNOW how amazing they are. Mostly because they are so humble and self-less. The heroism they show me on a daily basis...is unfathomable. I hope that someday they will realize just how amazing they are to me. I also hope that someday, others will see how amazing they are and follow the examples that they set. They aren't exactly perfect, they are perfect to me...and they are striving to be the best. After everything they have been through, they are STILL standing.
They celebrate life throughout the difficulty and pain they have dealt with. They overcome the circumstances that life sometimes gives them. They smile through it all. Regardless of how many times they have hard days. I truly am indebted to them, for the unconditional love that they have given me. I hope to become just like them. I hope that I will be able to learn as much as I can, from their examples. They have made my life complete. They have given me the strength to endure the trials that I have faced. They have ultimately given me the knowledge of what it means to be strong. They truly are the definition of HERO to me.

What a great post! It is true that there are so many unspoken heros who selflessly give and give and expect nothing in return. Truly a Christlike quality! As a matter of fact, YOU Ane, are one of those unspoken heroes........many times I've that I've talked with Dianna and your name comes up of all the kind and selfless acts you show her!
