Faith
I have been reading a wonderful biography about a remarkable woman named Marjorie Pay Hinckley. It is called "Glimpses Into the Life and Heart of Marjorie Pay Hinckley". If you were Mormon you would know whom she is and you have probably read this book also. If not you will love her anyway! She was a wonderful woman of Faith, dedication and a great example of all the best characteristics of mothers. This book has inspired me to blog about the topics in the book, and trying my best to apply the values in my daily life as a mother.
Reading this book has helped me form a new perspective about my life and my greatest role as a wife and mother. I believe my "roles" are my calling. I have been given the greatest calling in the universe and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Being a mother of four kids in a short period of time is wonderful and so very busy! At times I feel overwhelmed but when my husband senses these feelings he continues to have Faith in my abilities as a mother. One of the greatest aids for me has been Faith. I truly believe in God, he has answered my prayers, even when I was stubborn and didn't realize I needed his help.
Exercising my Faith in God has carried me through the hardest trials of my life. When my kids were sick or when I was in labor, just a little Faith and prayer comforted me through pain and stress. I am grateful for my trials and for the mother who taught me to have Faith. I love you mom and I will do my best to teach the same principles to my children!
