Kids grow too fast!
Last night my husband and I were compiling pictures of our kids and making a slide show/video with music. I really can't believe how much each of our kids has grown! It's a tender thing for me to reflect back, and remember the day I became a mom and how special it was for me. I think I was naive at the time thinking that because I always babysat for my siblings that it would be a piece of cake; although, it did help to be around babies. My mother always taught me how to care for them and I am thankful for those learning opportunities. I have been a mother for almost 6 years today to our four kids and I know how much work it is to be a mother, but 4 is nothing compared to my mom's 14 kids, she is an amazing mother!
I carried each of my babies through pregnancy for all those months through morning sickness, backaches and headaches and that was only the beginning, the labor was so intense that I barely coped with the pain. UNTIL...my child was born! When that moment happened I forgot about my pain, and the baby became the center of my world! Hearing that first cry and I started crying too! To feel a love like that is priceless and as soon as I had the first embrace of my baby, I feel such a peace and comfort and sense of accomplishment in knowing that I did it and that my touch, voice and nourishment soothe my baby’s cry. Each time I have had this experience I am even more grateful!
Months and years later they went through the stages of development and growth and I have captured these memories in my heart! Today, almost 6 years later I am even busier than I have ever been in my life and the things I once took for granted have become more precious to me. Seeing them bond with my husband, one another and myself is such a wonderful feeling. My husband and I have learned and grown from our experiences throughout our journey as parents though we may not be the perfect parents, what we have been given is the utmost rewarding blessing!

I gave birth to my daughter yesterday. She's 3. I can't believe how fast they grow.

I agree. Everyone says that they'll grow up too fast. I never understood what they meant until I had children of my own.
