Ultrasound Results!!

BOY or GIRL??

I finally had time to sit down and blog about the results, because the whole family is asleep.
I had my appointment at 2:50 on Wednesday and we took all the kids in for the ultrasound. We all waited anxiously as the technician started the ultrasound. Our youngest was feeling nervous because he wasn't sure what was happening and he wouldn't stop crying until my husband put him right by my side, so I held him during the entire ultrasound to keep him calm.

First we saw the baby's: Hands

Next we saw the baby's: Face






Then the baby's : Profile








Then on to the baby's foot



and finally....
after the many months of anticipation we found out.........

The Reactions:
Me: Thrilled!
My husband: Thrilled!

The Girls:
They reacted positively and were happy to hear that they were going to have a baby sister and already had a few names when we got in the car.

The Boys:

Our 3 year-old son seemed like he was happy, but when afterwards he kept asking me what the doctor said and I repeatedly told him, it's a girl and the baby is healthy and when we got home at about 7 pm he kept asking mom what did the doctor say and I told him, your going to have a little sister to which he replied, "No I want a baby brother."
Then he finally gave up after I explained to him that Heavenly Father sent you a little sister. Then he replied, "Next time I want a baby brother!"

Our 18 month old:


No reaction at all, just happy to be back with mommy and even happier
when we went out to eat!

Now the shopping will begin and we are really looking forward to that!
